PEER-REVIEW POLICY
All manuscripts and book chapters submitted to İzmir Academy for publication are subject to a double-blind peer review process. At least two independent external reviewers, holding a PhD or equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field, are assigned to evaluate each submission. Field editors and editorial board members are excluded from acting as reviewers for the works under evaluation.
If one of the reviewers recommends acceptance while the other suggests rejection, the editorial board evaluates both reports and decides whether to assign a third reviewer or return the manuscript to the author(s) for revision or rejection. A manuscript will only be accepted for publication if at least two reviewers approve it.
During the review process, authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other in accordance with double-blind review ethics. All reviewers are required to evaluate the submissions objectively, confidentially, and without bias.
Submissions must strictly follow the Author Guidelines, must not have been previously published, and must not be under consideration by another publisher or journal while under review by İzmir Academy.
The scientific and linguistic responsibility for the content of published articles and book chapters belongs solely to the authors. İzmir Academy and its editorial boards are not liable for any opinions, statements, or data presented in published works. All users are permitted to quote or cite content published by the association provided that proper citation is given.
