The Purpose of the Association, Fields of Activity, and Types of Activities
Title 2 – Purpose: The association was established to carry out all kinds of academic studies, publications, printing, organization, technological development, research, and application activities at local, national, and international levels, encompassing social sciences, applied sciences, engineering, health, and all other disciplines. Its aim is to promote and develop cultural, historical, and scientific communication, interaction, and cooperation at individual, institutional, and international levels.
Activities and Work Areas of the Association
- Conducting interdisciplinary scientific and practical research and studies across all fields to activate and develop activities.
- Organizing training programs such as symposiums, courses, congresses, seminars, conferences, workshops, panels, summer/winter schools, competitions, exhibitions, and fairs. Supporting national and international cooperation in line with the association's goals.
- Collecting and distributing information and publications through various media such as books, newspapers, magazines, and internet-based materials.
- Providing technical tools, equipment, and materials to ensure a healthy working environment.
- Conducting fundraising activities and accepting donations, grants, and funds from domestic and international sources, as permitted.
- Establishing and operating economic, commercial, and industrial enterprises to generate revenue for the association's objectives.
- Participating as a project partner or leader in international and national projects (EU, UN, World Bank, etc.).
- Establishing social and cultural facilities, clubhouses, and spaces for members to enjoy their leisure time.
- Organizing social events, including courses, concerts, balls, exhibitions, sports activities, and more to foster member relations.
- Acquiring, selling, leasing, and renting property for the association's activities.
- Accessing funds such as TÜBİTAK, BELDES, and others to support activities.
- Establishing think-tanks, research centers, schools, institutes, and federations as needed.
- Joining international associations or organizations in line with the association's objectives.
- Collaborating with public institutions and organizations on projects, as legally allowed.
- Establishing a fund to assist members with food, clothing, and short-term loans.
- Opening branches and representative offices where necessary.
- Forming platforms for cooperation with other associations, foundations, and universities in relevant areas.
- Developing project proposals, strategies, and feasibility studies for various initiatives.
- Providing face-to-face and distance education using information technologies for individual and institutional development.
- Offering training and consultancy services for career development.
- Discussing and developing policies and strategies in the fields of science, technology, and R&D.
- Holding seminars on policy analysis, strategic research, and academic focus areas.
- Contributing to vision, policy analysis, and strategic research across various fields.
- Contributing to the formation of public opinion on vision and strategy research.
- Evaluating and publishing assessments of institutions and organizations based on ethical, social, economic, and scientific criteria.
- Organizing training activities and projects for youth, women, girls, and disadvantaged groups.
- Facilitating the effective participation of these groups in social life at local, national, and international levels.
- Providing career development services for these groups.
- Discussing and developing policies for these groups in education and management.
- Holding lectures and seminars on policy analysis and research related to these groups.
- Establishing libraries and archives for the dissemination of information.
- Contributing to policy research related to these groups at institutional levels.
- Promoting public awareness of policy research related to these groups.
- Preparing project proposals and developing strategies for organizations such as the World Bank, EU, and others.
- Organizing tourism-related events for the development of Izmir and the country.
- Collaborating with organizations and preparing tourism-related projects.
- Organizing educational tourism activities and cooperating with relevant institutions.
- Hosting festivals, carnivals, and competitions when needed.
- Promoting tourism and cultural services through cooperation with domestic and international entities.
- Preparing and implementing projects to improve health services and tourism.
- Promoting health tourism through training, consultancy, and organizational activities.
- Encouraging the use of Turkish in academic fields through seminars and projects.
- Collaborating on foreign language teaching and learning through various initiatives.
- Publishing and organizing educational activities related to all branches of science.
- Undertaking any other activities as determined by the board of directors.
Association’s Field of Activity
The association operates at local, national, and international levels across social sciences, engineering, health, law, tourism, youth, women, and disadvantaged groups.
Membership Rights and Procedures
Title 3 – Membership: Any natural or legal person with the capacity to act, who accepts the association's goals and principles, may apply for membership. Foreign persons must have residency rights in Turkey. This does not apply to honorary members.
Membership applications must be submitted in writing. The board will respond within 30 days. Founders and accepted applicants are principal members. Honorary members are those who provide significant financial or moral support.
Resignation
Title 4 – Resignation: Members may resign in writing. Their obligations to the association continue until all outstanding debts are settled.
Dismissal from Membership
Title 5 – Dismissal: Members may be dismissed for:
- Violating the association’s charter
- Avoiding duties
- Failing to pay dues within six months despite warnings
- Disregarding association decisions
- Engaging in immoral, unethical behavior or activities harming the association’s reputation
- Associating with illegal entities
Dismissal decisions are made by the board of directors. Dismissed members cannot claim any rights over the association's assets.
